The would say something like "oh I see Felicity has come for a vist!" You know what was really neat? One of the ladies in the big houses said that she is friends with the lady who worked a Colonial Williamsburg, that helped Plesant Rowland and PC design and figure out fabrics and patterns that would be historically acurate as to what would have been available and a girl like Felicity would have had. A couple of employees remembered the Felicity tour and the year when Felicity was released they saw about 10,000 vistors that summer. Quite alot for back then.

I know! But I was sorta embrassed(sp?) sometimes-people (especially teenagers) would give me weird stares like "almost a adult and she's got a doll!"

Yeah, I've been there twice so far, and I mean to go again and again, since I live so close.

Pictures with Felicity and Traveling Kiana/Coconut start here and end at #91.

Pictures with Felicity and Traveling Nadia start here and end at #65. This visit centers around the Governor's Palace whereas the other is just different places.

It's impossible to see everything in one day!

Wow - thanks for all the feedback everyone! I'm considering going there sometime over the next year. Do you think it would be awkward if I carried my Lissie around? Thanks again for the help!

NAW! Most everyone is like " what beautiful doll" etc, etc, etc! I would bring her, after all it is her town!

Vicky - Do you remember the name of the place with the model beds? Or the one that sells the pretty, doll-sized hats? Thanks!

Dancin'4'AG - Thanks for your support! I hope you're right

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I don't think I remember....sorry . But the one with the hats was in the historical area and was in one of the stores/shops....but that probably doesn't really help. The one with the beds was in the nonhistorical type area and it sold colonial willamsburg furniture. The little beds weren't for sale though just little models of the life sized ones. I wish they were though!

My parents live in Kingsmill in Williamsburg. They go for a walk almost every night in Colonial Williamsburg. They love it there. I don't have pictures to share, but I have seen quite a few dolls when we go. DD took Felicity there a month ago or so, right before she got Elizabeth. She took Kaya to Jamestown too and everyone admired her. It seemed people were more accustomed to seeing a doll in Williamsburg. DD is going to Williamsburg with her 4th grade class this year. She wants me to make a dress for her like Felicity's tea dress. I think that will be a ton of fun for her if I can pull it off! Have a great time if you go. I know that it is really beautiful around the holidays especially. My parents seem to have a revolving door of visitors during that time!

I used to live in Wmbg. and went to CW all the time. It is the greatest place! When my DD was three I used to take her down to CW to play. Bruton Parish has the best bushes and trees to play around! We would also take her big wheel bike and she would ride it down Duke of Glouster Street (also called DOG street). I agree with AGFun, if you can go during the holidays definitely do it. The Christmas decorations are amazing. It is so beautiful there. Believe it or not it's where I went on my honeymoon. We plan on going back next year for our 10 year anniversary. I miss it so much! (if you can't tell!)

That's funny, we went there for part of our honeymoon too...my parents didn't live there then though. When I was in first grade they announced that they were going to retire there. We live in the DC area, so I have gone many times though out my childhood. VERY cool place!
